Pricing and Cost
Holiday lighting costs vary based on the size of your home, the complexity of the design, and the materials involved. Most residential Christmas lighting projects fall between $X and $X. This includes custom design, all lights and materials, professional installation, season-long service, and complete removal. Yes. Every installation includes season-long service and complete removal at no extra charge. If a light goes out during the season, call or text us and we’ll fix it, usually within 48 hours. When the holidays are over, we come back, take everything down carefully, and store your materials at our warehouse.
Services and Process
We offer Christmas and holiday lighting (exterior), interior holiday decorating (trees, mantels, garlands, tableaux), Halloween design and decorating, bistro and patio lighting (permanent), permanent architectural LED roofline lighting, commercial holiday lighting for businesses, landscape lighting, backyard lighting, and holiday light service and removal.
It starts with a free design call where we talk about what you’re looking for, your home, and your budget. From there, we create a custom design plan. Once you approve the design, we schedule your installation date and our crew handles everything from setup to season-long service to removal.
The earlier, the better. Our most popular installation dates fill up by late summer, and our busiest months are October and November. We recommend reaching out by August or September to secure your preferred date. That said, give us a call even if it’s last minute. We’ll do what we can.
Yes. We serve both homeowners and small businesses across the greater Chicago area. Our residential services include holiday lighting, interior decorating, bistro lighting, and permanent architectural lighting. Our commercial services include seasonal holiday displays for restaurants, cafes, retail stores, offices, and HOA communities.

Kelly Fitzsimmons started Light Up Your Holidays out of the trunk of her car, and the company has grown into a full team with branded vehicles, trained installers, and a warehouse full of commercial-grade materials. We’ve served hundreds of families and businesses across the North Shore and greater Chicagoland.

Permanent & Specialty Lighting
Permanent architectural lighting is a smart LED system installed along your roofline that stays up year-round. You control it from an app on your phone: change colors for holidays, events, or everyday ambiance. One installation, zero seasonal setup.
Bistro and patio lights are installed over outdoor living spaces like patios, decks, and pool areas for ambient entertaining lighting. Permanent architectural lighting is an LED system installed along your roofline that you control from an app. They serve different purposes and many of our clients have both.
Yes. That’s one of the biggest benefits. With permanent lighting, you get holiday colors for Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, and any other occasion, plus beautiful everyday lighting the rest of the year. Over time, it often costs less than paying for annual seasonal installation and removal.
Interior Decorating
Our interior decorating service covers Christmas trees (design and decoration), mantel displays, staircase garlands, tableaux and seasonal vignettes, and interior ambient lighting. We can use our materials, your personal items, or a combination.
Absolutely. Many of our clients have ornaments and pieces that are meaningful to them. We love incorporating your personal items into our design. Just show us what you have and tell us what matters to you, and we’ll build the design around it.
